How we started
We had heard of a nurse working on a ward where none of her patients could speak English, which she found very frustrating. 

We thought of a phrase book, with basic useful sentences in English and other languages that patients and nurses could just 'point to' to communicate would be a very useful tool. Then we saw that the current 'nurse diaries' in the marketplace were cheap overseas imports with a few addtional pages tacked on - so we decided to survey 200 nurses for details of what size and contents of a diary for Aussie Nurses would need...
